Rolling Out of Oblivion

Rolling out of Oblivion tells a story of a little ball, rolling around  searching for minerals and ores to strengthen itself. This little ball,  although small is not just your ordinary little ball. In fact, this ball is  actually a human, compressed and restructured into a mechanical ball. In  the far future, the world with its scarce resources available for not many  people, is starting to collapse. The earth becomes desolate, the cities  engulfed with pollution, the society crumbled, the humans desperate. And  so, those with status and power decides that it is time to reduce the  population of humanity, keep only those who are capable and worthy,  while those who are useless discarded as mere trash, garbage unworthy  of living. These “garbage” ultimately fought back, but to no avail the  rebellion ended up in a failure. Those who submit was captured, while  those who are a little too resistant was slaughtered without mercy. It is  the dawn of a new age, where only those with the power, status, and  skills live and those without are disposable tools. 

You are one of those people, or rather trash as they would say. Garbage,  dirt, whatever. You submitted to those above you, and you were  captured. Under the command of the leaders, you were to become an  endlessly working tool, slaved forever in the hands of “humans”. You  were compressed and restructured as a mechanical ball. While this sounds  very unrealistic and would absolutely kill you, weirdly enough it seems  that “human technology” has progressed massively and are capable of doing  these weird things. All you can do now is roll around, with your  consciousness intact and determination kept. Since the earth is very  unstable and dangerous for living beings nowadays, the “humans” created  a sanctuary, a safe haven for them to live underground. After creating  many of “you”, the “humans” released “you” outside or underground to  explore, find, and collect whatever kinds of resources are still out there  while keeping watch of you with radars and some kind of weird  technology. Obviously, if you disobeyed, they would just kill you, and so  you obeyed. You were sent underground to collect precious ores and  materials for the “humans” above, being nothing but a slaved tool. 

You were given a charging and an upgrade station. Your first personal  objective, is to get harder, better, faster, stronger. With this, your  chances of a succeeding rebellion against the “humans” will increase. Collect  ores and upgrade yourself in the upgrade station.
